We are finding the populations of the animals that live in our woods. To figure that out we are watching videos of all animals from White Tail Deer to Red Foxes. The population study is using math equations that look very hard but aren't once you figure it out. After we watch the videos we mark down all the new animals and all the repeats. If it's a repeat we mark it as "repeated." Once we mark all that we have seen of a speices we do the math. P= m(t)/r. The P stands for population, the m stands for marked animals, the r is for repeat, the (t) stands for total. Once we are done with all the math this gives us our best what estimation of the population.
